Cooper came to us in a severe state of neglect. He was flea infested, his ears fly bitten w/eggs attached and he had a ring around his neck where the collar he had wore was put on to tight! He has a bald patch with sores under his adorable puggish chin where the tight collar wore away at his flesh day after day. Cooper was on his last day at the shelter when an angel spotted his potential. Coop arrived to ARK's Adoption Center at 10:30pm on a Thursday nite went into immediate foster care, where he received some much needed tender love and care! All he wanted was to be loved! Cooper is the sweetest most grateful year and a half old Pug Mix I have ever met! He loves to cuddle and adores playtime. He is very dog and cat social. Cooper is at times energetic, but most of the time likes to relax. He loves a good nap especially with his person! He is 20 pounds of lap dog. Cooper also has the whitest teeth I have ever seen! He adores long walks and does very well on leash. After some adjustment time he also listens very well off leash. He is a sweet submissive pup who shows no signs of aggression. He does however have occassionally moments of skiddishness, which I believe will pass as he realizes he is no longer in danger. And yes we believe that someone wasn't always kind to Cooper. This would explain his occassional relectance to meet some men? But Coop warms up very quickly when he knows there is no threat. He loves his toys and is willing to share them with others, having a nice tug of war now and then with my chihuahua. Cooper would make any home complete. He will require some understanding. He seems to do well with children 6 years and up, especially teens! He's a good boy who just wanted to be loved! Will you love him forever? Look at that mug! How could you resist?
